Technique Tip: Launching & Landing (Laurel Eastman, Former Professional Kiteboarder, Kite School Owner of Laurel Eastman Kiteboarding/Board Treasurer, USA & Dominican Republic)

One of our main goals here at The Women’s Kiteboarding Collective (KB4girls) is sharing our knowledge on kiteboarding. We want to teach YOU all we’ve learned in our many years on the beach and on the water.

To that end, here’s a blog post from Laurel Eastman. It’s part of her article series “How To Learn Kiteboarding.” This article focuses on launching and landing. In it she shares her top 7 tips to keep you safe and awesome.

And wait, there’s more!

For all you intermediate kiters out there wondering about kitesurfing with a surfboard and maybe getting into the waves we’ve got a great interview with one of the best female kitesurfers in the world. Cynthia “Cynbad” Brown and Laurel got together this summer in Sherman Island California. Here’s a video from the KB4girls Youtube channel where Cynthia explains why sometimes the gear you have really makes a difference. In this case, her Firewire surfboard.

And there you have it!
